Dance Marathon:Georgetown College

On Friday I participated in Dance Marathon at Georgetown College. There are over 100 dance marathons each year to raise money for Children's Miracle Network.  If you're not familiar with the philanthropy, they aid families in paying for hospital bills for their child's illness. My sorority Phi Mu's national philanthropy is CMN, so I've been a part of different activities throughout the year.  This was the first year at Georgetown to have a dance marathon and it was a hit!

The marathon lasted throughout the night.  There were many activities such as games, group dancing, dance classes, food, and a "morale" dance.  Also, CMN families came to share their stories.  There were about 100 participants this year, which I think is a great start.  I can't wait till next year to see how many more people get involved in this great event!

I helped do henna in the international hour.

My friend Jacob and I, dancing as usual.

Just one of the many group dances.
