Happy Arbor Day!
Today I rode my bike down to the UK Arboretum for Arbor day. My roommate was working at a booth for the Arbor day celebration so I thought I would take a look. I've never been to the Arboretum but it is definitely somewhere I would like to revisit. I used google maps to get a bike route from my apartment and it was only about three miles. The weather is beautiful today so it was a great opportunity to get some biking in. There were booths at the celebration from all different organizations, educating people about planting trees and all other things environmental related. There's also a walking path around the whole Arboretum showcasing different trees and plants. I didn't take the whole trail because I wasn't sure I could ride my bike on the sidewalk, so I just walked a little. I'd love to go back one day for a picnic or just to walk around. If you live near the area it's definitely worth a look!
